Fall Dining Room Makeover (For Under $20)

Ready or not, here fall comes! I am typically the one who is NEVER ready for summer to end. I just love summer. But, for whatever reason…this year, I am very excited about fall! I really do love the crispness of the air and the beauty of the season. With kids who love to spend time outside, I have to say I am ready to be outside in less than 90 degree weather.
Another thing about me is that I am not typically a seasonal decorator. Gasp. I know that probably comes as a surprise. I have just never gotten into decorating for all of the seasons. I guess it is because I feel like I would never be settled before it was time to change again, and I just don’t think I could keep up! {Now…Christmas on the other hand, that is a WHOLE different story! You will see that closer to time…but I definitely love to decorate for Christmas!} But, this year I decided to decorate for fall. I kept pinning all of these awesome ideas to my “Spices and Spooky” page, and I became inspired! I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on decorations, but I wanted that “fall feel”, so I got creative. This entire dining room makeover was…wait for it…$7.00. YES. $7.00. Now, I had several things on hand in different areas of the house, some were dollar tree finds, some were creative uses of scrapbook paper that I had on hand, and some were already existing pieces in that room…but nevertheless, the whole change cost me $7.00 to go out and BUY the extras. {I will be going into detail on how I used the dollar tree to shop for fall decor and how I use scrapbook paper to change things up later in the week when I disect the decorations…so be on the lookout!}
Today, I want to show you the room makeover! And for those who didn’t know what it looked like BEFORE: {This is year round…except for Christmas!}
ORIGINAL DECOR
Here it is NOW~all decorated for fall:
With a few subtle changes, {and a berry wreath that I already had}~ this room has been totally transformed for fall! I love it! I think I may just have to decorate for fall every year now! It was really a lot of fun.

On Wednesday, I will show you how I used Dollar Tree decorations mixed in with existing items to really kick it up a notch! :)
