A step by step guide to making your own Fall Flag Banner for the porch or fireplace.
Need:

Fabric colors for 8 flags ( I used 5 colors in 1/8 yard each)

Muslin Fabric in 1/2 yard

Black Fabric for letters in 1/8 yard

Hemp Rope

Heat n’ Bond

Printer

Sewing Machine (if stitching)
Design the triangle as seen below with a 1 inch tab to fold down. Angle the tab slightly in so that it lines up with the sides of the triangle when folded.

Trace onto the back of heavy fabric of your choosing, and cut out.
Print out letters of your choice of font to fit the middle of the triangle. Cut out the paper letters
Use Heat n' Bond to secure to the triangle fabric. The best way to do this is to trace the letters backwards (mirror image) onto the paper side of the Heat n' Bond. Iron onto fabric of your choosing. Cut out letters individually.
Sew front triangle to a matching piece of muslin (wrong sides together) leaving the top flap open. Turn right side out. Fold flap down and sew or secure with pins.
Peel off the back side of the heat and bond and iron to the front (right side) of the triangle.
String together with hemp rope and hang where you like. You are finished!
