This project, 2 Fall Farmhouse DIYs, consists of 2 easy and inexpensuve fall DIYs that you can use in your home. As a matter of fact, I used things I already had in my home so for me these two projects were a no spend. The best kind...right?
Four Fall DIYs At Little Or No Cost
I used the same products for all of the products. The main ingredients are Black and white chalk paint, sponge paint brushes, gloves, painter's tape and of course the items that will be painted.
Not showing in this picture are ribbon, and faux fall leaves.
This used to be a faux wood placemat. However, two coats of black chalk paint, a dry brush of white chalk paint are the base of this project. I added "Our Nest" using vinyle that I cut with my Cricut vinyle cutter. I added the ribbons and faux fall leaves to complete the look. The step-by-step process is in the video below.
This project began with two books that I purchased from the Dollar Tree. These books can cost a pretty penny if purchased. However, two coats of black chalk paint, ribbon, faux fall flowers and you can make this project for just a few dollars. I also added the words "Just Us" on the on the binder using vinyle. Step-by-step instructions are in the video.
These look pretty bad I know. And just in case you can't tell what they are, These are ceiling fan blades that we had around the house from an old ceiling fan we had replaced. The transformation is amazing.
Using the same supplies, these blades were turned into very pretty fall home decor.
The pumpkin above has been around for years. Although it is not bad. It does not quite fit my current decor style so a little white chalk paint and again the ribbon and faux fall florals turn this blah decor into a show stopper.
You will find the step-by-step tutorial in the video below.
All four of these projects used almost the same supplies. The bases may have been different but the supplies to turn them into beautiful decor were the same. Black and white chalk paint, ribbon, faux fall florals, paint brushes, gloves, ribbon, and painter's tape were used and I had all of the items in-house. I did use a vinyle cutter but if you do not have a vinyl cutter, you can stickers or a stencil which will allow you to stencil the words on. If you would like the vinyle stickers, I will try to have them in my Etsy shop.
A complete tutorial is available in the video below.
The cost for this project was $0.00 for me. However, if you have to purchase paint, gloves, paint brushes, painter's tape You could possibly spend $25.00.
