Make Your Own Living Wreath Planter

There's nothing more beautiful than nature and this is why I love creating things with plants and flowers. Today I'm sharing a new addition to your front door or really anyplace that you would like to hang a wreath.
All you need is a typically grapevine wreath, some sheet moss and a few plants or flowers that you would purchase at the nursery.
I did try this with some of my spring garden bloomers. You can see some wind anemone, primroses and pulmonaria here. Unfortunately they did not have a large enough root system and only lasted a few day. But hey, sometimes cut flowers only last that long so you may want to try it.
These violas that I purchased at home depot were only a little over $2, and I only used half of the pack. One thing to consider is the light they will receive. My front door is a little on the shady side so I know these are a good pick. Make sure that you check the tag only your plants and see what type of sun they require.
Also, make sure they are not going to grow too tall. Lower growing plants would do best for this project.
