I have an old wagon wheel in my front yard, that I normally put outdoor lights on and boughs for Christmas. This year I wanted to do something different and was inspired when I found two bicycle rims while cleaning my shed.

So here is my wagon wheel and bicycle rims. If you want you can spray paint them white, but I am opting for the rustic look.

So I needed to come up with a way for the rims to sit on top of each other. I had some pieces of trim about an inch wide that fit perfect . This just makes it easier to attach the rims for balance purposes.

I used two sided tape to secure my trim.

I wrapped the two sided tape around the back side of the trim.

Here is my trim, it fits perfect in my wagon wheel. I repeated the same process with my two bicycle rims.

This is hockey tape. I will be using it to secure my wagon wheel and rims.

So the easiest way to attach this was to do the bicycle rims first. Holding them in place on my trim I began wrapping the tape around the rims tightly about twenty times. Once completed I took my rims and attached to the wagon wheel wrapping with hockey tape.

Here is my snowman. Now it's the to dress him up.

I had some outdoor battery operated lights with built in timer.

I wrapped them around my rims and secured with wire.

Every snowman needs eyes. I got these from an old snowman kit I had saved. I attached them to my rim with the two sided tape.

This is a piece of orange foam paper. I drew a carrot on it and cut out.

My eyes and nose!

Next I took some white wire and made a smile.

My snowman kit also had a hat and scarf. These can be bought at your local Dollar store.

Here is my snowman face.

Here he is with his hat and scarf.

Yes that white stuff is snow!

Here is my snowman lit up at night. I love how this turned out! Best part it cost me nothing to create!
