I just love the fake pumpkins with the faces already on them. They are silly, and they make me laugh, and in this world as we know it today, we all could use some laughs. This project only takes 5 items, plus a hot glue gun and scissors. Once again, I have to say if a child would like to do this project, Elmer's glue would be better for them. I put this project at $2 only because it won't let me put cents. I actually made it for $1.40
Start out with a funny faced, fake pumpkin.  I purchased this one at a yard/tag/garage sale for 25 cents.
Take a flower you would like to put on the hat off it's stem, then cut the little piece sticking up on the back so it will sit smooth onto the hat brim.
Next thing I did was to put the hat I purchased at Goodwill on the pumpkin's head, to see what side looked best.  I actually purchased 5 hats for 99 cents.
I then laid the flower on the hat where I wanted it, and took the hat off so I could glue the flower to the hat brim.  I didn't have to take the hat off at this point, but was going to have to for the next step, so it worked out fine.
I had some Spanish moss in my craft closet, so got it out and stretched it, then laid it onto the pumpkin's head so it would look like hair.  Then I carefully took it off and laid it to the side, then I put hot glue all over the top of the head, and replaced the Spanish moss.  I applied some pressure so more of the moss would be glued on.
After the hot glue dries, take some scissors and try to trim the Spanish moss up a bit.  I didn't like the cut edges, so I grabbed the moss and pulled a few pieces out some so it looked like messy hair.  Then I picked the head up and shook it a little to get some of the loose moss off.
Now to glue the hat to the head.  I put hot glue under the brim of the hat to where it would stick to the "hair".   Then I placed it on the moss and held it there to dry.
I had purchased a crow from Dollar Tree, so I took it off it's paper base, stretched the wires on the bottoms of it's feet, and cut them off flush with the feet.  I then hot glued the crow to the top of the hat at an angle.
Here is the finished project.  You could use as is for a table decoration, or make an actual scarecrow out of him...I just don't think he'd scare many crows, though. lol
