Try a beach theme ! Get a plain wreath and glue ( I recommend using E600 ) shells or kids flip flops . Place lanterns with a battery operated candle inside surround the base of the candle with some sand and shells . Add a summer themed doormat and some potted flowers or a barrel with sea grass . Good luck !
A wreath is my favorite way to decorate a door. Last year I made a summer wreath for $4 from the Dollar Tree. A pack of kid's sand toys, a pair of child's flip flops, a pack of leis, and the form. I wrapped the leis around the form then attached the toys and shoes. It was adorable and I got so many compliments. Plus, it's all weather so I could put it on a door that isn't covered.
