It depends what type of wreath you want to make or what type of materials you want to use. There are so many wreaths and tutorials for them out there. I've done many with deco mesh, pinecones and some more creative ones with driftwood.

You can also make a standard wreath that will look pretty all year round, then make plaques for the center to reflect the seasons or specific holidays. The plaques can be different on either side, that way you'll save even more space (one side fall/harvest, with Halloween on the reverse; One side Christmas with winter on the reverse, etc).
My MIL has a grapevine wreath that says Happy Everything. She has something that represents every holiday on there. She never has to change it.
