Hello Grant, sorry for your loss. since it seems that you have an existing saddle, it should be pretty easy for you to redo, if using real flowers you will need to make sure you have florist foam, and it is wet, remove the old flowers and add in all the flowers you want to. You may have to buy new foam to fit it
You will need to buy a frame. It has a foam center to attach the flowers and looped wire to clamp down on each side.
I purchase silk flowers and just keep adding until it is full.
Attach a command hook upside down on each side of the monument. Run a floral wire through the 2 loops and through the hook. That will help keep them secure in high winds.

Hi! I like this base for one because it won't rust. You just add the foam for attaching your flowers. You could glue the foam to the base or fasten it on using florist's tape or wire.

You can buy one right here, very reasonable: https://amzn.to/3fJ68ul
Hello, You can buy premade from florist or craft store bases for this requirement. Otherwise lay a bin bag on the floor or table and fill it with Oasis or dried foam and stick it together into a swag.
