What is a good basket replacement to put goodies in for adults?

I don't want to buy baskets for everyone, but I do want to give them some Easter treats! What is a good item, either useful or not, to put some treats in?

You can use canning jars and fill with jellybeans or M&M's! I do this frequently with the adult "kids" in the family! A coffee mug is another idea!

A ball cap for guys. Wicker basket of flower pot for the gals. Umbrella for either.

You can re- use baskets you may already have, maybe spruce them up with a springy color of spray paint. I've used everything from pretty bowls to Easter-themed coffee mugs, to re-usable plastic food containers covered with floral-patterned tea towels. Bunny or chick-decorated kitchen utensil holders, vases filled with goodies...the list is endless!

  • Cookie tins! One year I did a travel related theme and placed hand sanitizer, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, band aids, sewing kit, etc.

Another year I just baked cookies.

Then I did a beach / vacation theme, sunscreen, lip balm, lotion, sippy cup, deck of cards, mad libs, tick tack toe, jump rope, etc.

Use small gift bags from the dollar store! They are easy and inexpensive!

In hard times long ago, we used a lunch sack, or brown grocery sack. Roll down top several times, make handle out of anything you want-staple to bag.

Recently I bought a package of 3 or 4 small plastic oval shaped "tubs" about 3-4" across and about 5" long by about 3" high at the dollar store for a dollar. These would be cute for holding candy, hand sanitizer, etc., then covering with plastic wrap and adding a bow. For reference, 3 sticks of deodorant fit in one, which is what I bought it for. Mine kept falling off the shelf.

    Hi Tina,

How about a Glass of some kind, or a Jam Jar tied with string so they can carry it?

Mason jars, plastic storage jars or small baskets from the Dollar Tree.
