Repurposed Fall Wall Art

I am so excited to be a part of this tour! A group of creative bloggers have come together to share a fall project with you.
My project started with this pile of goodies in my driveway.
The first thing we did was cut off the ends of the chicken feeder.
Then, we hammered the chicken feeder flat so it would be easy to nail to the back of the frame.
We used a metal blade to cut the metal to size.
I painted the frame in a soft gray color and then used my sander to distress it. I love the metal against the painted wood frame as it is, but I made it even better!
I picked up a set of test tubes from a yard sale and used some metal clamps to attached six of them to the metal in the frame.
I filled the test tubes with dried hydrangeas for fall.
The wall piece will be easy to customize for every season and holiday! It is amazing what you can do with different pieces you find in your garage! You can see the full tutorial and details of this project on my blog post here: http://www.mycreativedays.com/repurposed-fall-wall-art/

I love this! How's it holding up after four years...more rustic than ever I would assume. I think I would use copper tubing to hold the flowers because that is what I have out in our metal horde!
