Spring Garland & Home Updates #DIYmySpring

I decided to update my piano area in my living room with some bright colors for spring. I just feel so much happier now that the weather is better. I couldn't wait to add some color and brightness to my space. Iloved to with a couple projects using items I already had at home.
I cleared off everything I had already had out. I took apart a previous DIY project and grabbed the faux capiz shells and strung them over a string of twine. So easy, but I loved the look and texture it added.
A cake plate with some greenery and glittery easter eggs add some glam easter style. In a house full of boys I need me some PINK! Just for me.
My sons insisted we needed these silk flowers from Ikea. How could I deny them? So I added them to the table with my quote letter board. More pink for me!
Here is a close up of the other side. A silk plant, lamp, and old frame.
And I finished my adding some paper flowers for some interest. These were made with tissue paper. The kind you use to stuff into present bags? I just cut them into leaf ish shapes and glued the stems together. You will notice there are a few different styles because I experimented a lot.
