Upcycled DIY Home Decor For Fall

Don't have a lot of money for fancy home decor this fall? No worries! Today I'm showing you the easy, upcycled way to update your home for the fall season this year.
As much as I'd love to come home with a load of goodies from Pottery Barn or Pier 1 to decorate my home for the fall season, unfortunately it is not in my budget. When you don't have the bucks to spend, it's time to put the brains to use, right? That's why I made this DIY upcycled fall sign for my home for under $10.
I started with a board, 4 letters and two wooden leaves. I already had the board at home (a piece of shelving found in the clearance section at IKEA) and was able to purchase the letters and leaves for under $10 at my local AC Moore & Crafts Store. The only other materials I used for this project were some glue, wire and spray paint that I already had on hand left over from another project. Here are the 3 easy steps to creating this original home decor fall sign.
Paint the leaves the color you desire. I spray painted the leaves with copper spray paint from my shed. I chose the copper color because I love it, and it paired well with the tones on the letters I had purchased.
Arrange the letters and leaves onto the board and secure with glue. I recently discovered Gorilla Glue and it is pretty amazing stuff. I love it!
Use a staple gun to attach a small piece of wire to the back of the board for hanging. That's all there is to it. Pretty simple, huh? Have fun creating your own!
