We picked up lots of pine cones the other day in nearby woods.
I brushed off debris from cones and placed on baking sheets (big mistake to not line them first with aluminum foil or parchment paper) baked in 200 degree oven for 40 min, (smelled very good) they opened up.
I also sliced up some apples and oranges and sprinkled cloves and broken bits of cinnamon on them. These also baked at 200 degrees but for two hours. Today I arranged them (these are just the ones from the basket) in a large papier Mache tray I have and put them on the dining room table. Waiting for inspiration to strike for next use!
