I have been wanting to make a wreath using an embroidery hoop for a while now, and I thought now is the time when I am putting out my Christmas/Winter decor. I chose non traditional Christmas colors so I could leave it up throughout the winter season.
Supplies:
Embroidery hoop
Wooden snowflake ornaments (c/o Oriental Trading)
Paint - I used 24K Gold by Deco Art
Yarn to make the pom poms
Super glue
I used my Boye Pom Pom Maker to make several pom poms in a couple of different sizes and colors.
I removed the string from the ornament and painted the snowflakes with one coat of 24K gold paint by Deco Art and let dry.
I positioned the snowflakes on the embroidery hoop and used super glue to attach them to the hoop and each other, covering up the hole where I removed the string.
Once the glue was dry on the snowflakes, I then tied the pom poms onto the hoop around the snowflakes to fill in the space. I cut a few pieces of the blue yarn and created a loop to hang the wreath on the door hanger.
