I’ve been waiting all summer to get out there and decorate my pretty front porch for fall! To start off, I decided to head out to the old junk pile… ahem… I mean Project Pile, to sort through and pull out some of my antique pieces that I haven’t got to use yet…
This is how my front door ended up looking... I had no real plan, so I think it turned out pretty ok, in the end! Whew! ;)
I used cornstalks to decorate on each side of the door, then I stuck a fall flower/leaf garland in each set of my cornstalks.
I made the wreath a few weeks earlier, and somehow it turned out to go just perfect with the garlands that I used. Totally the same colors! You can find out how to make one just like it, here!
Do you love my door mat??! Ok... To be honest... I didn't have a door mat/I didn't have one that I liked/I forgot to buy one. But! I found these two pieces of old barnboard that I had totally cut for something else, but never ended up using, and they worked just perfect! (Thank you giant pile of unfinished projects out in the garage! Total life saver!
I used a straw bail to create a little vignette beside my door, in order to display some of my favorite pieces. I really loved this fall decor, and I seriously don't know how I am ever going to top it this year! Yikes!
