Don’t you just love a good dupe??!! I reeaaaallly do!! One of my favorite things to do is scour my favorite higher-end retailers like Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Arhaus…etc… find things I love and then try and recreate them on a teeny budget. So today I’m going to show you how I made this Anthropologie dupe moss wreath for around $15.

Anthropologie Mixed Moss Wreath

This was my inspiration for this wreath. It retails for $150!! So today I’m going to show you how I made this Anthropologie dupe moss wreath for around $15.

All I used for this wreath was a foam wreath form and 1½ bags of a moss variety pack. The Anthropologie moss wreath form is larger than the size I made but I went with what was in stock at Michael’s.

OK, I’ve made about a bazillion wreaths in my time…but this one is sooooo easy to make!!!

Starting on one side I drizzled the hot glue onto the foam wreath form and added a piece of the green moss.

All I did was follow the moss pattern of the Anthro one as I was making my dupe version.

My Anthropologie inspiration wreath actually has the same moss mix on it!

When I say this was a quick project…it took less than 10 minutes from start to finish!

I needed about ½ of the second bag of moss I bought, amazingly I didn’t have any moss in my craft stash!!

Tip: Rip the moss into smaller pieces to get a more textured layered look on the wreath.

Once I was done with the front of the wreath, I added more moss around the edges so you wouldn’t see any of the green foam wreath form peaking through.

It was easier to do this from the backside of the wreath.

Seriously, it looks like the same wreath, doesn’t it???

…but my Anthro dupe wreath cost about 135 dollars less!!

Anthropologie Dupe Moss Wreath

So what do you think?? A pretty good dupe project, right!! I really, really love how it came out! The texture and the natural elements are really so cool.

This wreath is also seasonless, and you could hang it either inside or on your front door (as long as it was protected from the elements and birdies making nests!!)

Very nice. Seems spring like to me…all the better. I just don’t understand why many folks have to compare their work to costly (overpriced) national brands when their own ideas are at least just as nice. Be proud of your efforts and if someone says I saw that in catalog, feel free to say they copied your vision. No one does you better than you
