Repurposing a purse is a fun way to add some personality to your front door, especially straw purses that have colorful decorations.

I found this one at a thrift store for $1.

I was immediately drawn to all the vibrant colors, which makes it nice for any time of the year but I thought it would be especially perfect for a fall project.

It's a tourist souvenir from Jamaica, and it's in great shape.

I pulled some fallish artificial florals that I've collected from dollar and thrift stores.

They ranged in price from 50 cents to a dollar each.

With pliers I bent the stems to break them off to get the lengths that I needed.

I placed the the artificial fall leaves inside the purse as a background.

And then I filled it in with the rest of the florals in a way that looked good to me.

And here's my finished straw purse on my front door. It's so fun and colorful and it would be so easy to change out for different times of the year.
