I feel like I don't need to explain myself because we all do what we can for inexpensive yet cute decor! With that being said, most of us turn to shop our local Dollar Stores or Goodwills. This time around I found everything I needed was either things I owned or found at my local 99 Cent Only store! I always say sharing is caring so be sure to put what you'd do differently, add, change, etc. in the comments down below to inspire a fellow DIY'er. BTW this cost me less than $10 because I had a bunch of the materials on hand from previous year's DIY decor.
Gather your materials: I have shown you this pool noodle/hula hoop trick for a DIY wreath base in multiple of my YouTube videos but feel free to buy one, any accessories that match the look you are going for - I found all of the ones you see here at my local 99 Cent Only store and a hot glue gun.
I have shown you this in videos like my Easter Wreath tutorial! But you basically put a pool noodle securely around a hula hoop size of your choice.
I added hot glue to the outer rim of the wreath base and put my first layer of leaves down - use whatever accessory you want!
I then added a second line and put a second layer of leaves down.
Added my third line to inside of the wreath base then added leaves pointing in.
I then took my handy dandy hot glue gun and eye balled where I wanted my other details such as my larger florals.
I ended up hanging it up so I can step back and really gauge where I wanted everything.
I then began to build with no particular process to be honest. When I stepped back, I realized I liked it more symmetrical so I evened some areas out.
I wanted to add our initial (which I show you in my Halloween Door Hang tutorial which you can check out on my YouTube channel linked below) by cutting out cardboard, spray painting it and hot gluing rope around the edges to clean it up.
I totally messed up my "R" but that cool thing is that I made it for free since I have everything on hand. I am going to give the R another go and give it some more personality. Hope you guys enjoyed! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel! Thank you for the consistent support my beautiful Hometalk family xx.
