DIY Festive Felt Wreath

It was time for a new wreath and I found a large piece of felt on sale at Hobby Lobby. I love heather grey and decided this felt would be perfect for my wreath. I wanted something festive, but also thought it would be cool to stick with one color and wondered if the two ideas could work... turns out, it does! I love my new wreath and think its both classy and funky!

I wanted my felt to be wide enough to fit around the wreath, but extra length wise, so I could scrunch the fabric up. I also found some yarn in my basement that was the exact same color, so I decided to use it on the wreath also.

I braided my chunky yarn and glued the pieces to my felt. After the braids were added, I wrapped the felt around the wreath frame and glued together with my hot glue gun.

It was already starting to look great, but It still needed more...

Since I had lots of extra felt, I made some fringe and added it to the wreath.

I also made some felt "ribbon candy" pieces to add to the wreath.

I decided to make some simple felt bows to add to my wreath also.

What do you guys think? I love my new wreath... it's soft, fun and cozy which is perfect for winter!
