Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away, and this DIY rustic yarn wreath is an ideal decoration. This wreath is an inexpensive and easy way to welcome love into your home.

OMG, Are you getting ready for Valentine’s Day yet? Oh my goodness! It’s been so crazy lately, so much going on but I admit I want to get ready this year ahead of time.

I’m super excited to be sharing my cute Valentine’s Day Rustic Yarn Wreath I’ve made with a pool noodle, lots and lots of love… and yarn… and burlap… LOL.

Yes, you heard that right! A bool noodle was used for the wreath form. I had already created it for my  DIY Rustic Christmas Burlap Wreath and of course, why wouldn’t I use it again! If you want to learn how to make one yourself click on the link above.

I saved over $10 by not buying it online and buying that pool noodle that cost me around $1,50.

The best part?

I can just take off Valentine’s Day decor and cover it with Spring, Easter, summer, Christmas… You name it!

So what I did was wrap about 3/4 of the wreath form with light beige burlap ribbon.

Then overlapped wrapping roughly 1/2 of the wreath with a fluffy yarn to get the rustic wreath base.

I tied everything with twine or yarn with a knot on the pack. No glue!

You should get something like the above at this point.

I wanted to decorate the wreath with yarn hearts and pompoms. So for the hearts, I drew a few hearts on cardboard and cut them out.

Then I just randomly wrapped them with pink and red yearn.

I also made a bunch of pom-poms keeping the re-pink-white color scheme and also made sure I left a long string of yarn within them for attaching.

I made the pom-poms using a pom-pom maker that can be found at craft stores. If you don't have one, you can also make pom-poms with cardboard. I have some tutorials on the blog.

I had found these cute wooden hearts that can be found in dollar stores or $1 sections, and other stores really cheap.

I painted 4 of these. 2 in white, 2 in pink, and then stenciled L O V E letters on each heart.

These cuties will become a pretty garland that will go across the wreath.

Now it was the time I was looking forward to! Assembling the Valentine's Day wreath!

I attached each pom-pom to the wreath and tied them on the back. I didn't want to use glue so I could reuse the wreath later on.

I set all the pom-poms to cover about 1/3 of the breath on the bottom-right side up. and then a couple of hearts at the end of the pom-poms section.

Lastly, I used a twine string for my garland. I secured each end with a yarn heart on the back and then hung the wooden hearts from the string to read love. I secured them with some cute mini clothespins.

That's it!

I so love how it looks!

This is how my Rustic Valentine's Day Wreath turned out! I’m so loving it!

Really cute wreath! Could you please tell me where you got the script lettering stencil? Is it a sturdy plastic? I was looking for one at Micheal's a few days ago and they only had paper script stencils with adhesive backing.

How long do I cut the noodle?

I like the Pom poms, hearts & fluffy white yarn, but the beige burlap looks like a bandage…

So sweet looking and easy to do with common things around house or inexpensive materials to pick up. Thanks for sharing
