Today I am happy to be here with you and also to be sharing a DIY Transitional Grapevine Wreath. I was inspired to create this wreath when I realized that I had too many wreaths! I needed a wreath that I could use over and over again. This wreath has the potential to take you through many seasons of door décor and I am going to show you how.icon
TRANSITIONAL GRAPEVINE WREATH
I began this project with some simple supplies that you can find at any craft store or in your own craft closet. This particular grapevine wreath is going to be dressed up for Valentine's day. I simply added some DIY handmade hearts which I made using my Sizzix Bigkick.

DIRECTIONS TO MAKE DIY TRANSITIONAL GRAPEVINE WREATH:

1-Cut faux flowers from stems into approximately 3 inch length.
2-Insert cut floral stems into grapevine wreath.
3-Weave red and black and white ribbon around the wreath, tucking into the grapevine.
4-Using Scissors or a die cut machine make 3-4 (3") paper hearts.
5-Hot Glue paper hearts to wreath. (Just a dot as I am going to remove them after Valentine’s Day.)
6-Make bows and tie to wreath.

It is important to cut the stems no shorter than 3 inches, because you want to be able to insert the floral stems into the grapevine wreath NOT glue them. Remember this wreath is going to be recycled and we are not looking for permanent. icon

This wreath does need to be hung indoors or in a protected entry because of the paper hearts, and ribbon. If you want to hang this in an area that is not well protected I would suggest purchasing plastic flowers and plastic hearts as well as outdoor ribbon.
Tada!
The project is finished and just under a couple of hours. It will be super easy to change up this transitional wreath for Spring and I can't wait to show you that project as soon as Valentine's Day is over.
