Dressing Up A Valentine's Day Wreath (With A Sweater)

When I found a pink sweater at the thrift store and it wasn't in my size, I decided to use it to make a DIY Sweater Wreath for Valentine's Day!
It takes hardly any time at all and is a great way to upcycle a thrift store find.
You'll need a sweater, wreath form, yarn, pom pom maker, paper hearts, scissors, utility knife and packing tape.
I go into a little bit more detail on the tutorial on the blog, but I couldn't fit every last detail in here :)
Cut the sleeves off the sweater. If you wreath is larger you may need an extra length of sweater to fill out the entire wreath.
Cut the straw wreath in half and cover each exposed end with packing tape (to keep the straw from making too much of a mess).
Slip your sleeves over the wreath form.
In my case I needed to cut a bit of the back of the sweater to fill in the extra part that wasn't covered by the sleeves (wish it has three sleeves, but that would just be weird). Then on the back I taped the sweater material together to keep it from slipping.
I embellished the front with pom poms
and paper hearts.
Quick, easy and cute. That's the name of the game with Valentine's Day decor.
