I needed a way to create a new wreath for my door, but my budget was running on empty. Here’s how I made a Buffalo Check Wreath in 20 minutes for only $10.
I was out shopping for stocking stuffers and I came across this wreath form for only $2.97 on sale! I snatched it up and scurried home to make a wreath in record time. Items I used for this wreath: Square wreath form Buffalo check fabric scraps Velvet bow Leftover greenery and ribbon. I bought a set of Buffalo Check flannel sheets to use as fabric for some Christmas crafts. From this one set, I have made a Tree Skirt, 6 pillows, and a throw blanket. I still had some scraps of fabric left over and used them as the base for the wreath. I think you could also use Buffalo Check ribbon for this.
First you wrap the wreath. The tricky part are the corners since it’s a square form, but once you find a method to make sure the entire wreath form is covered, the process is really quick.
Since my Buffalo Check was flannel, it was easy to tie off and tuck into the frame. If you use ribbon, you may have to hot glue the ribbon to make sure it doesn’t unravel.
I did use my glue gun to affix the greenery scraps. The ribbon had a twist tie to the back and I used it to attach a piece of burlap to the back of the bow before attaching it to the form.
I love the DIYs that are this easy! I was able to get this done in about 15 minutes and it’s just the cutest!
