Fall Gnome Wreath
I love gnomes. My sister introduced them to me/us when she did a Christmas activity for the family, 2 Christmases ago. Ever since, I've made my own style, form and sizes of gnomes. This time I decided to do a gnome wreath.
Most materials I used were from the dollar store and others were from my stash:
1) Santa Hat décor
2) Faux Maple Leaf Garland
3) Tea Towel
4) Ribbon
5) Christmas Ball
6) Embellishments
7) Cotton Batting
8) Cardboard
9) Hot Glue Gun
10) Scissors/Wire Cutter
I took off the tinsel garland from the Santa Hat Décor to expose a good plastic base.
I pulled out the tabs from the plastic base with my fingers. It snaps off easily but you could use a wire cutter for this.
The cardboard and batting were cut to shape and batting was glued to the plastic hat base.
Use the tea towel to cover the batting and glue it at the back, kind of snug to take its shape. Trim off any excess towel. Add more batting to form a pointy end for the hat.
Snip off the faux leaves from the garland and glue onto the cardboard to form the beard. Design of beard is to your liking...rows of similar color or jumble them all up. Add and glue the ribbon and other embellishments to make it pretty. Don't forget to glue the nose in place, but, wait...I think it needs a bigger nose. Don't you think?
This is where I displayed my gnome wreath.
