When searching around your house for interesting craft supplies and ideas for projects, look at your stash of unused picture frames for inspiration! Frames can create an interesting basic structure for wreaths and door decorations for all seasons and holidays.
I used two square picture frames to make my fall wreath, but the same steps and materials can be used to create decorations for other holidays and seasons too! You can use this quick and easy project idea for many years to come using different materials and designs.

I also used an embroidery hoop to add some extra structure and interest to my design. You can find the full list of materials on my blog.
The first step is to decide on the arrangement of your picture frames to form the structure for your door decoration. I positioned my two square frames to form a 8 pointed star. But you could also use rectangular frames to form a cross shape or some other arrangement. Whatever shape your decide on, make sure your arrangement is balanced so it will hang straight on your door or wall.
I wrapped my two frames with coordinating ribbon, then glued the frames in position using Gorilla Glue Clear Grip. Once my glue was dry, I added the inner circle of an embroidery hoop on top of my two frames.

I decorated this hoop with a fall garland featuring some artificial berries. I had some garland left over, so I used my remnant to form a smaller circle of garland to the middle of my wreath. You can find all the directions on my blog.
I finished my wreath by adding some artificial leaves flowers and a pumpkin to the side of my wreath. I had these items left over from previous fall projects, but I think they add a festive touch to my door project.
I'm really happy with how my wreath turned out. I hope you like it too!

I wonder if this could be fashioned in light blue, white and silver and be appropriate for a Hannakah or Passover wreath. 😇
