Make a Fall Wreath With Ribbons

In this fall wreath , I used earth toned ribbons in a variety of materials, with a metal leaf and wood buttons to add some natural elements. Plus, it makes a great stash-buster project, using ribbon pieces that may be left over from previous projects.
The amount of ribbon needed will vary, depending on the size of the wreath form and the width of the ribbon. My 8″ foam wreath form required around 50 pieces, each 10″ long.
Tie the ribbon pieces around the wreath until the entire form is covered. At this point, the whole project might look a little scary. Mine looked more like a bad hair day than a wreath! Trim ribbon ends to approximately 1.5 inches long (use sharp fabric scissors for clean edges) to uncover your pretty ribbon wreath, and embellish using metal leaf and wooden buttons tied with embroidery floss.

Super cute! I love all of the different patterns and textures of ribbon that you used!

That looks so great after the hair cut. This is a great idea period, for any season or a babies room, all pink and white or whatever the room is and it could be left up all the time. I am going to watch for bags of ribbon at thrift stores. Thanks so much.
