If you're asking about a specific project, Pat, you'll need to go to that post and ask your question there so the person will see it. My guess is, it was some sort of a pull.
At the top os the page right after the magnifying glass type in barn door handle, and below it click on Porjects, see if 1 of them is the one you are after.
You will need a recessed door pull, like these: https://amzn.to/2GZPgkf

Most just have a handle that are "U" shaped - maybe about 6" long to allow for a good grip. Many styles available in hardware locations.

Hi Pat. If you ever want to re-visit a particular project, just click the little blue house at the top of this page, left-hand corner. Boxes will drop down according to specific categories. You can navigate thru Home Talk projects to find your project. If you can't find it, try using the search bar. Good luck Pat. I hope you are well.
Hi Pat,
It could have been a recessed one, but to be sure maybe look up the Project at top of Homepage. Best wishes.
Any of these will do https://amzn.to/3jQ353y
I found this article which helps you find the correct size, finish and handle: https://wildwesthardware.com/blogs/news/how-to-choose-a-barn-door-handle
I misread this. The inside handle needs to not interfere with the movement. Maybe us a recessed hole and filler like a sliding closet door.
I have a handle that is like a drawer/cabinet pull turned vertically!
Hi Pat, this handle is designed for the barn doors, it has flush for the inside and regualar on the outside

Please email the person who posted the project you have a question about there is no way to know which project you are referring to without more info. Thanks!
Hi Pat: Not my project, but I'd use just a metal handle for wooden doors. Here's Home Depot's site that has a lot of ideas:
