Wreaths on french doors?
I have made cabinet wreaths for my french doors which have curtains on them. I am at a loss now at how to hang them properly! From the rods or from the wood frame? Any suggestions would be helpful because the wreaths turned out very well!

I wouldn't hang them from the rods I would use the frames or the glass on the doors to hang them -https://www.marthastewart.com/1533064/hang-wreath-without-making-hole-door#:~:text=Measure%20your%20ribbon%20from%20this,it%20hangs%20down%20in%20front.
I would hang them from the wood frame. Depending on the look of your wreath you could use command strips and hang with ribbon.
Sometimes what I do is I loop a ribbon around the wreath frame, then bring it up to the top of the door and tape it down. Or you could anchor the ribbon with a flat tack as long as there's enough clearance for the door to shut snug.
You could also use an over the door wreath hanger. No wood or rods to be concerned about.
Hello. A lot of times I put a small flat thumbtack on the top board surface of the door. It is completely hidden from view then place fishing line, string or twine to hang my wreath from that. It seems to handle remarkably substantial a wreath.
I go with Kim suggestion. Loop a ribbon around the top of the wreath and tack it to the top of the door. This way you can easily adjust the height
A suction cup on the doors may work.
Hang them with a ribbon and command hooks on the back of the door. Fold the ribbon over the top and attach.
I would like to see a picture of the items you want to hang to be sure I give the right help!
I would hang them from the wood frame using clear plastic line such as fishing line. Something as simple as a thumb take on the upper door willl suffice in holding the fishing line at the height you want unless the wreath is super heavy.
The wreaths are already hanging from a ribbon. Mission accomplished as of this posting. Many thanks to all of you.
I actually used the curtain rod to hang the wreaths. There was just enough space behind the rod to slip in the ribbon and then I just used a straight pin to secure. Looks perfect to me. What do you all think?
I have no problem with that! What ever suits you is great!
I hang my wreaths by using a command hook on the other side of the door, turned upside down. Then run a ribbon through the wreath, over the top, and under the hook.
Wreaths were hung from curtain rod abs since they were very lightweight this solved my problem. Thank you.
I would hang them on long ribbons that are hung over the top of the cabinet door.
The project has been completed.
That is a personal preference. I would hang them from the wood frame.
I hung them from the curtin rod and it looks great. Thank you.
I would not hang them from the curtain rod because they are not really that strong, it would be better to hang them from the wood frame.
