Ribbon and Puffy Heart Valentines Wreath

I am very bad at decorating for the holidays...very bad. I usually jump on the bandwagon late in the game...but thankfully I can always whip up a wreath and my house looks festive! I saw these adorable felt puffy hearts at Michaels and had to have them. I had a project I was going to make with puffy heart, but I was going to make my own hearts...until I saw these cuties!

This little box of puffy hearts is really inexpensive, $4.99 and on sale right now for even less. You can make 2 wreaths or other fun projects for Valentines Day.

You only need simple supplies:

Straw wreath form (do not remove the plastic wrap), 2.5" wired ribbon, floral pins (or greening pins), and the adorable felt puffy hearts

Secure the ribbon to the wreath form using the floral pins or greening pin (I used the greening pin). By using pins instead of glue for this project, you can take it apart and reuse the supplies if you want!

Begin wrapping the ribbon abound the wreath form. If you are using a light colored ribbon, you may need extra ribbon (one roll of 25ft should do). Because this ribbon is white/light, I overlapped my ribbon a lot more than usual, covering about half of the previous wrap. With darker colors/prints you may use less ribbon.

I love the way the ribbon looks wrapped around and layered. It is simply elegant and so versatile.

Begin pacing your hearts. I like to do my decorations asymmetrical. I begin with a large heart. I was going to glue the hearts but decided to use a pearl floral pin instead...and it looks sweet!
