$2 Simple And Sweet Argyle Valentine Heart Wreath

Since Valentine's day is fast approaching I made this super easy heart shaped wreath to display in my home.
I made the wreath form out of a wire hanger shaped into a heart, then wrapped in foam pipe cover cut in half (I got the pipe cover for $2.59 for a 4 pack at Walmart) and then taped together with duct tape.
I used needle nose pliers and my hands to form the heart.
The pipe cover will stay in place since it is sticky at the open part, so it works perfectly as a wreath form!
Just tape the open parts with duct tape and you're ready to start wrapping yarn.
The wrapping seems like it takes forever but it's easy.
When you're all done wrapping, cut out felt hearts and lay them on the wreath.
Now you're ready to wrap more yarn to create the argyle x's.
I started by tying the yarn to the back and wrapping a diagonal line on one side of all the white hearts.
When I got back to the top, I twisted the yarn around the hook and wrapped lines onto one side of the pink hearts. When I got back up to the top I did the other side of the white hearts to make a complete x, and then back to the top to finish the pink hearts. Then just make another knot on the back and you're finished!
There you have it, a simple, sweet and CHEAP valentine wreath. I made it from supplies I (and most people) have in their closet and craft bin. To view a full tutorial visit my blog :)
