Christmas Crate Using Your Cricut
This fun project for Christmas is made using your Cricut. Aside from the Cricut vinyl, we got all the supplies at the dollar store, so it literally costs just a few bucks to make! You can place this on your mantel, holiday display, or even as a centerpiece on your holiday table!
Who has a real Christmas tree in their home? There's nothing quite like the smell of a Farm Fresh Christmas Tree to bring the holidays to life! There's also nothing like the mess of a real Christmas tree that is shedding it's needles either! Right? Nevertheless, lets make this fun Farm Fresh Christmas Trees crate!
Materials
- 1 Small crate
- 12×12 Sheet black sticker vinyl (651 oracal)
- 12×12 Sheet of transfer tape
- White chalk paint or matte white paint (unless your crate is already painted white)
- Mini trees
You will also need:
- Cricut machine
- Paint brush
- Cutting mat
- Weeding tool
- This SVG file
- Measuring tape
- Scraper tool or old gift card
Instructions:
Paint the crate white if it isn't painted already. Set aside
Set your Cricut to cut vinyl and use the SVG file found on my blog here to create the graphic. Weed the design. Place the transfer tape onto the design and scrape with a scraper or old gift card. Slowly, peel back the transfer tape making sure the design sticks to it.
Figure out where on the crate you want your design before pressing and scraping into place.
Once you have it where you like it, press down and scrape with the scraper tool. Pull the transfer tape back slowly making sure the design adheres to the crate. Place the mini Christmas tree into the crate and display wherever you'd like!
