You don't need to spend a lot of time and money to decorate for Christmas. Simply string some lights and beaded garland with a few accents and fahlahlah, you have simple beauty! Have a wonderful time decorating!
String lights are inexpensive and create a merriment ambiance. Simply string them around a mirror, add ribbon, angels and snowflakes and you have just created a nice focal point to your room!
Ball ornaments added to a bowl with themed pillows is all you need to add that winter wonderland touch!
A Wreath is simple to add to a mirror and then adorn with glistening garland. Add ornaments and such around the garland.
We don't have a fireplace at our new house, but I used the stocking hangers on the windowsill and shelves to hang a snowflake or other ornaments. I love snowflake ornaments, so they are a big part of my décor and I use them all over the house. Add a holiday message like "Joy" or "Noel" on a sill, accent the window with garland and a Christmas hand towel to bring a smile to your face (yes even when you do dishes :)
A few years ago my mother gave me her beloved dinnerware (from the 50's). Many wonderful meals & memories were shared together. I had fun decorating our table with them. Dollar Tree ribbon, fresh holly sprigs (from our bush outside), vase (garage sale find '74 paid $1). I added glittery fruit to an existing bowl for the finishing touch.
Hung stockings on a coat rack I built this year
Enjoy decorating and have fun! Blessings to you all!
