I wanted to go simple this year so with 3 pieces of wood some stain I made this Christmas mantle art .
I started with three pieces of wood I had in my garage they were already cut probably because I was going to make a sign at some point lol
I then added these metal brackets I purchased these because I wanted to see if this was easier then cutting wood to attatch and keep planks together , and it was . This by far is so much easier and fast .
This is my absolute favorite color Ebony by Rustoleum you can't go wrong .
after staining the wood with a rag I used this white paint I picked up at AC Moore a while ago . I lightly went over the top with a brush you could probably say "dry brush "
And this is what you get I love the way this combination comes out you can't go wrong .It looks like an old piece of wood .
Next I hot glued these ornaments in the shape of a Christmas tree I added the star on top also an ornament I picked up at Hobby Lobby .
anf this is my finished mantle 😊
