A few years ago I made a collapsable wooded Christmas tree centerpiece.. and I decided to make a few more for gifts this year.
I made something similar for Thanks Giving:

I started with a simple 1/2 inch piece of plywood I had left over from another project.... I traced out the pattern, trying to be as efficient with the small board I had.
Alternating the orientation got me 4 pieces per board. I then did the same thing on another board.
I plan to make a total of 4x trees, so I need 8x cut out.
I used a jig saw to trace the lines.... slowly cutting them out.
I used this green "sample paint" we got when we were trying out colors for the front of the house. This was a nice forest green... so it worked out well. Plus it is a nice outdoor grade premium paint so nice and thick.
I decided to spray some gloss polyurethane to give it a sheen and to make it even more durable.
All done and ready to wrap... I will give them out at the family Christmas party this weekend. Happy Seasons for years to come.
Hope this inspires you.
Enjoyed the project?
