Cute Customizable Greeting Sign

I wanted to buy a cute little vertical greeting sign for my front porch. It was adorable- it said Joy, was perfect for Chriatmas, and it was customizable! However, the price... I did not love. I knew I could throw something together that looked similar for way less! So follow along as we make a fun and cute sign that you can customize to fit any look!

Grab two boards! These boards were rough. I found them in my parents basement. But that's okay because we will be painting them and no one will notice. Cut them to the same size if they aren't already.

Next, grab some smaller pieces of wood. You'll nail the smaller pieces to the back of both boards to connect them together.

After your boards are nailed together, it's time to decorate! I grabbed some wooden letters, paint, and a wreath.

First, grab your base color and paint your boards. I went with silver so it was neutral but eye-catching. Perfect for Christmas!

I then painted the wooden letters. I went with gold so that the permanent things on this sign would be neutral. Thw wreath, the customizable element, is where I decided to make my pop of color!

Once everything is dry, nail the letters to the board. Your letters can spell out any word you want, buy I suggest something with an O to make the wreath work! For the wreath, I just nailed a hole in the center of the boards and hung it from the nail.

Add some Christmas stems to make the wreath pop and add some color then hang your wreath on the nail!

No all that's left is to en-joy your new sign! 😉
