Now is the time to start thinking about handmade upcycled decorations, making Christmas decor from materials you have to hand.

These denim trees are so easy to make from your old worn out jeans. Cut out two identical triangles approx 3" by 5"

Hand stitch stars across the denim, using embroidery floss. These are simply made a a straight stitch laid over the top of each other.

Place the denim, wrong sides together. Starting at the base blanket stitch along the side up to the top of the tree.

Tie a knot in a piece of ribbon, place in between the payers of denim at the top of the tree and secure with your blanket stitch. This creates a hanging loop.

Continue blanket stitching down the second side to the corner. Add stuffing to the tree.

Insert a cinnamon stick into the base of the tree to represent the tree trunk, add E6000 glue to secure in place.

Finally add a little more stuffing and close up with further blanket stitch. If you love video instructions check out my you tube video
