DIY Christmas Farmhouse Baking Sign
Create a fun and cheerful Christmas sign for your kitchen or hot chocolate bar in under 30 minutes!
I've been adding touches of Christmas in every corner of our home, including our kitchen. Where I also set up a small space for a hot chocolate bar. Here in Minnesota, a cup of hot cocoa is a necessity and it's always nice to have everything organized and available.
When I found this fun Christmas sticker at our local Dollar General, I knew it would make the perfect sign for our little "Winter Wonderland" hot cocoa bar. I already had the white charger, along with the red and white twine, some ribbon and a couple or berries and greenery leftover from another project.
The first step in creating the sign was adding the word stickers to the face of the charger. As you can see my first attempt eye-balling the layout didn't go well. Thankfully, the stickers are forgiving and I was able to move them around a bit until I finally found the look I wanted.
Next, I decided to create a "border" for my sign (other than the beads) using the red & white twine. I simply placed a thin bead of hot glue down and gently pressed the twine into place. **TIP I used a cotton swab to press it into place to avoid burning my fingers!
The final touch is totally optional, but like I said, I had these berries and greenery leftover from another project, so I simply hot glued them to the top of the sign for but more Christmas whimsy, along with that adorable red and white striped ribbon to hang the sign with!
This whimsical & fun sign is the perfect addition to our hot chocolate bar and I can't help smiling every time I walk by it! Since I already had everything except the sticker my total cost for this project was $1!! But you could totally create the look for under $5 as I purchased all of the other supplies at the Dollar Store!
