DIY Wooden Christmas Tree Light Bright
DIY Wooden Christmas Tree Light Bright From Dollar Tree! This craft was inspired by the light bright toy I used to play with as a kid! I hope you enjoy!
Here is my how to video for this craft!
Wooden cutout from Dollar Tree
Fairy/string Lights in from Dollar Tree (battery operated)
Mini Jenga blocks from Dollar Tree
This step is optional - I chose to spray paint the wooden cut out flat white
Once paint is dry, start measuring where and how big you would like the tree on the wooden cut out
Once measured size and location of the tree, start making dots to form the tree
Here’s what it looks like all measured out on the wooden cut off out.
After measuring dots for your tree, grab drill with the correct size drill that’s just a little bit bigger than the lights.
Here is the wooden cut out with the drilled holes
After holes are drilled I grabbed my glue gun for the next couple steps
This step is optional - I decided to grab some twine to make a bow as a tree topper.
Here is the twine bow ready for placement with hot glue
Next step is time for the lights!
Flip over the wooden cut out and start putting the light through the back of the drilled hole to form the tree.
Use hot glue gun to secure battery pack to the wooden cut out. Also if needed, hot glue the lights with a tiny dot of glue next to the drilled hole for extra stability.
After the lights are done, grab 1 mini jenga block
This step is optional - I decided to paint the jenga black brown to give that more tree trunk look
I decided to dilute the brown paint with some water to make it more like a wood stain look.
After paint is dry hot glue the jenga block on to form tree trunk.
Now the wooden Christmas Tree light bright is all done and ready for display!
Here it is with lights off!
Here is how I have it displayed in my home!
