Dollar Tree Farmhouse Christmas Lanterns
This is a fun holiday lantern using inexpensive materials to make these wonderful lanterns for under $10
What you’ll need:
2 metal buckets
2 glass vases
2 led lights
ribbon
2 picks
green wire stems
backers twine
hot glue gun
E 6000
scissors
razor
wire cutters
Start by removing the stickers and tags off the buckets and glass vase
Add E 600 and hot glue to the top of the bucket
We add both because the E 6000 takes 24 hours and the hot glue give instant bond
The reason you want it so secure is because we're putting the glass vase in that spot
Next we will use the LED light from dollar tree (this is optional, I want mine to light up)
Next make a bow
Tie with backer twine around the base, watch my youtube video for a few quick tips
Add pick under the bow
Use your green stem to top of your pick. It helps cover the stem
I did not glue it I just added it and glued pinecones and bow to greens this is just to cove the switch
So it should look like this when you turn on
This is how it looks without light, still cute.
Here they are all done!
And the light goes a long way... this is them in the dark! (peep my little gnomes in the back)

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
These are adorable. I may try to make these as I have the cans. I have not seen these lights at our Dollar Tree but will look again. So how much do you sell these for?
Where did you get those cute led lights?
These are beautiful! If you added a round mirror between the glass and the can it would be even brighter while hiding the glue.
