You can make your own Christmas tree skirt very easily. The great thing about this tutorial is that it’s a basic tutorial that you can use to make a tree skirt in a fabric that’s your style and you end up with exactly what you want. For more details on this tutorial and more info on how to make the right size skirt for your tree be sure to check out the full post on my blog.

Prep your fabric by washing and drying it. Trim it so that it's a square. Then fold your fabric in half and then half again.

Use the marker and string to make a curve from one edge to another (of the sides without the folds).

In the corner with all the folds cut out a 1 inch curve.

Cut from the center to the outside edge on one side.

Flip it over and fold up the edges around the circle 1/2 inch. Then fold it over a second time. Pin and sew the hem into place going around the edge of the circle and then up the straight sides of the slit.

Sew some ribbon along the slit so that you can tie the two sides of the skirt to bring it together at the back of the tree.

All done! Like I said, this is a brief description of the tutorial so be sure to check my full blog post for more details and pictures to make it easier.
