You are going to be very surprised when you see why it's always a great idea to save the pieces!

When our bathroom got renovated we saved the old light fixture. I knew it could be used somewhere for something!

You can read all about the bathroom renovation at Homeroad.net

We took down the old light fixture and removed the glass globes. I gave them a good cleaning then brought them down to the workshop.

I began by using   E6000 glue to attach the globes to the top of a rusty bed spring.

On the top of the tree I attached a repurposed metal lamp part from another lamp that I took apart a while back and a wooden finial.

The wooden finial got a coating of  Modge Podge and a dusting of fine gold glitter.

I added a tea light candle to the bottom of the lamp and these adorable little lights and they now have a brand new life as Christmas trees for the holidays!

It just goes to show that if you save the parts from old lights they will come in handy some day!

You should see these beautiful junky trees light up at night! They are amazing!
