I am always looking for something handmade to give my kids teachers, friends, co-workers, and family for Christmas. Here is a fun decorated jar that is etched that is perfect for all kinds of fun little gifts, and when they are done using the fun gift inside the have an amazing jar left over!!
start by cleaning off the labels from your jars. I used Helmar H300 remover cleared and also washed them in the dishwasher (i think these were olive jars).
I used a couple of fun festive stencils of stars and ornaments with my Etchall stencil spray to stick the stencils to the jars.
I applied a ton of etching creme to the jars to etch them up, best part is the creme is reusable!!! Let it sit for 15 minutes to do it's magic!
Clean off the excess creme and place back inside the bottle. The wash them in the sink to get the rest of it off and remove the stencils.
Here they are all cleaned and etched!!
I painted the lid and also added some fun decor of a painted metal piece, some rosemary, and twine to the outside of the jars to spruce it up
I filled these jars with homemade bath salts to give as gifts!!
Here is a step by step video tutorial on how to etch the jars and also how to make the bath salts!!!
