Gorgeous Advent Calendar
We love the countdown until Christmas at our house and this precious Advent calendar is tons of fun and simple to use.
Start by getting the free download for this project HERE. (If you want to get a an Advent set with Scriptures for Advent then go HERE).
Print your download on 8.5" X 11" heavy card-stock. Next cut down the banner pieces with a 12" paper cutter. Use scissors to cut the small tip of the banner.
Use jute twin to wrap around a large picture frame (vintage is the best!) Secure the jute on the top and bottom backside of the frame. I added a nail to the backside of my frame to hold the jute. Next I wrapped the jute enough for 5 rows.
With small clothespins I attached each banner to the string. 6 on the top row, 5 on the next three and 6 on the last row.
Decorate more by adding small bows, greenery, ornaments or berries. You can add in small goody sacks for a special advent treat.
If you get the cards with scripture verses then you can turn a new card over each day and hide God's word in your heart as you prepare for Christmas!
So simple to make something so special. You can even gift an Advent banner as a gift! Enjoy
