When you think of the word “Swag” many things come to mind. Swag can mean free stuff, it can mean “swagger” and it can also mean a holiday decoration made with evergreens and ribbon. Today we are making the latter, a fun table decoration made with a faux evergreen garland and adorned with real tree branches and pine cones. This project is great for your holiday tablescape and smells lovely. If you don’t want to place it on your table you can also hang it up or twist it around your porch poles.

Start with a 9ft faux garland from the craft store. Collect evergreen branches and trim them to about 6 inches in length each.
Attach the evergreens to the faux garland using floral wire. Take two or three evergreen trimmings and place them at the base of the garland. Twist the wire around until they are secure.
Work your way down the garland adding more evergreens as you go until it is as full as you would like. Glue on pine cones using floral adhesive. I also added boxwood and other greenery trimmings from around my yard.
Place your finished garland on your tabletop.
For best results make the garland long enough that it hangs over the sides of the table. You can also glue on ornaments or acorns.
