How To Make A Christmas Tree Storage Bag

I don't know about you, but I have always struggled fitting my Christmas tree back into the box it came in. Plus there was no way I could carry that box upstairs by myself. And if that wasn't enough, you can see the boxes are falling apart! It was time to do something about this problem.
So, I decided to make storage bags for each section of the tree. It will make it so much easier for me to haul the Christmas tree upstairs from the basement, all by myself!
I used a regular tarp to make my bags. Not the super cheap one, I think this one was about $10.
For the base of the tree, I made a huge bag. Almost like a extra large IKEA bag.
For the middle section, I made a sleeve bag. I can slide the tree in one way and pull it out the other.
I have 2 9ft. trees, so I made a set for each tree. One set is inside out, so I could tell which tree parts go together. Then for the tree tops, I sewed one bag for both of them.
This worked out so nicely this year! I love having a bag for each section of the tree! These were also fairly easy to make. Of course, you need a few sewing skills, but not much more than sewing a straight line. The complete details on how I sewed these Christmas Tree Storage Bags are on the blog. Stop on by for a visit. :)
