I’ve mentioned before how I have a thing about scrapbook paper. I. LOVE. IT. I don’t even scrapbook anymore, but I still find myself looking at it in the craft stores, and yes, even buying it. Sooooo, naturally I gotta get crafty and come up with ways to use my pretty paper. Here’s some easy Christmas decor ideas I did using scrapbook paper. And the best part is for most of these you can use those annoying–but still precious–scraps of leftover paper! Here's 3 Ways to Decorate with Scrapbook Paper for the holidays. 1. Make ornaments. Sometimes I want to change the look, theme, and color of my Christmas tree without spending a lot of money. I found an easy way is to use scrapbook paper.
I found wooden unfinished ornaments like these at Michaels Craft Store. This particular one is from Factory Direct Craft. Simply trace the ornament onto scrapbook paper. Cut out the shape and use Mod Podge to stick the paper on.
You can put paper on both sides or just one. Add ribbon to dress it up and so it can hang on the tree.
Aren't they cute? These also make easy gifts for kids to make.
2. Make a Sign with Wooden Letters. I love this craft. Get unfinished wooden letters from your local craft store. I found these at Hobby Lobby. Simply trace the letter on the back of your scrapbook paper and cut it out. Again, use Mod Podge to apply to paper to the wood. Let dry! Easy.
3. Mini Gift Box Centerpiece. This one is easy too. Collect small boxes from around the house or purchase some simple jewelry boxes from the craft store.
Then simply wrap each box like a present--tape and everything.
Add ribbons to make it look cute. Then place them into a clear dish, like a trifle dish that I used here. Display.
