It's a Winter Wonderland Fireplace Mantel

The great thing about wreaths is that it is very rare that they can't be recycled to fit into the next season. When you make a wreath if you start with a good basic design it is easy to transform it into another look for another season. As I looked at my fireplace mantel there was a space that needed something. Having taken down my summer door wreath I decided to recycle it and use it for my Winter Wonderland. The basis for my summer wreath was coastal. It had a burlap bow and shells on it. I had not totally dismantled the wreath so the shells and bow were still attached. This project cost me $0 as I had everything on hand.
Here is the wreath with the shells and bow still attached. It's just sitting there begging for me to make it beautiful again.
The first thing I did was add a green bow in the middle of the burlap bow.
We have a Bay Leaf tree in our backyard. I went outside and cut off some small branches brought those in and arranged those on the wreath.
Time to place my Coastal Winter Wonderland in its place. Now that spot that was screaming for something has been filled.
What a difference! I made all of the stockings that are hanging on the mantel. The Odd one is my mom's. She is the matriarch of the family and deserves the right to stand out, as she is 92 years young.
