I had picked up a 12 x 12 burlap canvas a while back and it was just hanging out in my craft room. I finally decided it was time to do something with it, and since it is Christmas season I decided to make something pretty for Christmas.
I drew a simple Christmas Tree design and cut it out. Then placed my tree and star cut outs onto my burlap canvas.
I used a 1" paint brush to dab white paint all around the outline of my paper cut outs.
After I had outlined the entire thing, I removed the paper cutouts to reveal a whimsical and simple Christmas Tree design.
Then I used some pretty wired plaid ribbon and a smaller burlap wired ribbon to make a poufy bow to add to my new wall art, and waahlaaa!
If you'd like to see how I make my bows go here, or if you'd like to see more details about my burlap canvas project check out the original post on my blog here.
