Nativity scene silhouettes can always make your home look festive. The outline effect or black shape against a light background produces an eye-catching image. Adding lights to it can definitely elevate your mood during the Christmas season. If you want to brighten up your holidays even more, this is one project you can do without breaking the bank.

I’ve had these laminated cardstocks for over 25 years now. Geez!!! I used them to decorate the front of our rolling garage door back then. I don't remember where I got these images from but nativity scenes can now be found on google.

This time, with the outside plastic area trimmed off, it served as my pattern. Other materials used were 2 ribbed floor mats, a white metallic marker and scissors.

First, prepare your project blanks…paint, stain, spackle, and cover holes. These blanks were thrifted for half off its ticketed price.

Using the white metallic marker, trace the pattern on the back side of the mat.

Cut with your scissors.

It helps to use a sharp utility knife to cut the insides of the halo.

Glue some tumbling tower blocks on the back to give some depth to your silhouettes, and then glue them in place on the blank surfaces.

For all sides of the images to be visible, outline the overlapping areas using the white metallic marker.

I want to view my Nativity Scene project at all times during the holidays, so I arranged them with lights and candles over the fireplace mantle. I really love the impact it gives to the whole room.
